Wendy, I was saddened to hear that Willie lost his battle to cancer. Time will heal the severe pain you have now in your heart and it will be followed by beautiful memories of such a wonderful husband, friend and father of Matthew and Marcus. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Willie was one of the most intelligent and talented people I have ever met, and he was a leader in Readers Theater with his far-reaching ideas to get us more into the community. He was an excellent author and director, and fine character actor. He and I played the hero and villain in one play, and he came through as very nasty with a villain's laugh. In real life, however, he was thoughtful and considerate, so that was good acting! We will miss his contributions to Readers Theater, but much more so as a person that we all came to love and respect. Jim Parker

Dear Wendy,Marcus and Matthew, I am so sad about loosing Willie. I worked with him for many years. Barbara,Willie and myself were best friends at Department of Licensing. We were so upset when we heard about Willie. He would always come and visit and then his visits stopped. We did not know why, now we do. It was so strange that the other night I was going threw some old photo's and found one of Gage my youngest Son. He was about 1 1/2 years old and we were at your house having a DOL Picnic. Willie snapped a shot of him taking all the ping pong balls that hit the ground and stuffing them in your ivy. I remember Willie telling me it took him months to find them all. I will never forget that day, I had a really great time.Gage has grown up since and is 16 years old now. I have so many stories I could tell you but not much space. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Barb and I had a good cry. He will be missed ever so much. Take care, Sandy Monroe (Swearingen)
