PLYMOUTH - Paul G. Carothers, age 102, Plymouth, passed away at 3:50 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014, at his home.
Paul was born on June 2, 1912, in Plymouth, to Mitchell and Jenney (Annis) Carothers. On July 11, 1936, Paul married the former Marjorie G. Giffin. Together they raised their two children. Paul had been a lifelong resident of the Marshall County area. He was a retired farmer, former North Township Trustee, 4-H Fair Board member, as well as being active in 4-H Horse and Pony. Paul graduated from Purdue University in 1934 with an engineering degree.
Paul is survived by his son, William P. (Myra) Carothers of Plymouth; his daughter, Christine C. (David) Calloway of Morgantown; five grandchildren, Andrea Smith, Spenser Carothers, Billie Carothers, Kaitlyn Carothers, and Shiloh Fonseca; and two great-grandchildren, Weston Smith and Tim Fonseca. He was preceded in passing by his wife, Marjorie Giffin Carothers on Sept. 8, 1979; his sister, Bertha Carothers; and brother, Russell Carothers.
