Janelle Gordon Obituary
Janelle was a lifetime Whitley County resident. She attended Columbia City Joint High School and graduated with the Class of 1960.
Janelle was a telephone operator at United Telephone early in her working career and then was a secretary for Indiana Die Molding for many years until her retirement in 2001.
On April 27, 1990, Janelle married Wayne Gordon at Columbia City United Methodist Church.
Janelle enjoyed cooking any and everything, especially comfort foods.
Survivors include her loving husband of 25 years, Wayne Gordon, of Columbia City; children Michelle (Robert) Judd and Marla (Doug) Fahl, both of Columbia City, Bradley (Melissa) Gordon, of Huntington and Tammy (Randy) Kingray, of Shepherdsville, Ky.; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson and one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents Marlin and Dorothy Conner and a sister Marlene Rice.
Friends may call Sunday, Jan. 24 from 1 to 5 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral services for Janelle will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 25 at the funeral home, with Certified Funeral Celebrant Sharon Brockhaus officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhill Cemetery, Columbia City.
Memorial contributions in memory of Janelle may be made to Humane Society of Whitley County.
