Kenneth Croussore Obituary

Kenneth Edward Croussore, 80, of South Whitley, passed away peacefully at 2:35 a.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at I.U. Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, where he had been a patient since February 12th.
He was born December 9, 1940, in Niles, Michigan, a son of the late Kenneth Elwood Croussore and Dorothy (Campbell) Croussore. Kenneth completed his schooling at South Whitley High School.
On July 27, 1960, he entered the U.S. Marine Corps. Becoming a heavy equipment operator, he also completed his GED. He was honorably discharged on July 24, 1964. Returning to the area, he became a career-long independent brick mason
On November 8, 1985, he married Brenda Diane Karst. They have always made their home in South Whitley.
With a life-long sense of adventure, he enjoyed just getting in the car on a moment's notice headed for destinations unknown, either ending in dinner out or sometimes an antiquing trip through southern Michigan. He liked to fish, especially with the grandkids who he adored and loved to clown around with. He is fondly remembered for his sense of humor. Keeping active at home, he could be found tinkering in his shop or woodworking for art crafts. He held a special place in his heart for his beloved dog Phoebe.
Surviving is his wife of 35 years, Brenda, a daughter, Denise Constantine of Georgia; a step-daughter, Lisa Minnick of Columbia City; grandchildren, Brea, Skylar, Mathew, Brittany (Brandin), Devin (Jessa), and Annamarie; great-grandchildren, Donavon and Zander; sisters, Sharon (Rob) Giordano, Dixie Renfroe, Cindy Gaff, and Trina Fetchik, all of South Whitley; and a brother, Tom (Kathy) Wheeler of Pierceton.
There will be no services. Arrangements are by Smith and Sons Miller Chapel, South Whitley.
Memorials in Kenneth's honor are to the Humane Society of Whitley County.
