CARL MICHAEL Obituary

LAJOSE - Carl L. Michael, 69, of LaJose, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Nov. 22, 2021 at Penn Highlands DuBois.

He was born May 16, 1952 to Homer and Mary Elizabeth "Libby" (Smith) Michael in Spangler.

He was a very active member of LaJose Word of God Church. Carl oversaw many aspects of the church. He was an Elder, oversaw the janitorial duties in and around the church, and song leader. He and his wife Sharon would sing at church services and events. Singing was one of Carl and Sharon's favorite activities at church.

He owned and operated Michael Autobody for over 40 years. He started the business from the ground up. Carl was a Chest Township supervisor for 10 years. He was part of the group that was against the landfill. He was a member of the Chest Creek watershed, member of Susquehanna Rod and Gun Club. Carl enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, helping with the Grange Fair, following local high school sports, and following his Pittsburgh sports teams. He was always busy doing something for someone. Most of all Carl loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years whom he married June 4, 1988, Sharon A. (Perry) Michael, LaJose; a son and two daughters, Adam L. Michael of LaJose, Amber J. Burris and husband Jeremy of Monroeville, and Erica C. Carl was an important and talented member of the tenor section in our multi-church cantata choir. He was a kind soul who will be truly missed. Deepest sympathy to Sharon and their extended family. God bless you.
