Constant Lockett Obituary

CLEARFIELD - Constant "Connie" Lockett, 76, passed away Monday, Dec. 23, 2024 at Penn Highlands Clearfield.

Connie was born March 1, 1948, in Philipsburg, the daughter of the late Clifton and Veronica Nevling. On Nov. 22 1975, she married Clifford "Kip" Lockett, who resides in Clearfield.

She is survived by two children, Tammy Greene of Bellefonte and Tracy (William) Twigg of Clearfield; three grandchildren, Austin (Tori) Greene, Alyssa Twigg, and Anna Twigg.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene Nevling.

Prior to living in Clearfield , she resided in Madera for over 40 years. There she enjoyed having a garden and restoring furniture. She was a lover of animals, especially her cats. Her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. There is not a conversation that she had without talking about them. They were the light of her life and her favorite thing to say to them was, "I love you to the moon and back."

She was married to Kip for 49 years. They were each other's best friend. They could often be heard having a friendly banter. We all knew she was the boss. As her health declined, Kip took the very best care of her.

She had a heart of gold. To know her was to love her. She will be greatly missed by everyone. After many years of declining health, her battle came to an end. She is in a better place where she is able to walk and breath freely.

Honoring Connie's wishes, there will be no public services.

Connie's life motto to her grandchildren was to always "be kind." Family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Hahne Cancer Center, Clearfield; or to any local animal rescue center of the donor's choice.

Beardsley Funeral Home & Crematory, Clearfield, is in charge of arrangements.
