David Owens Obituary
He was born on Jan. 31, 1943 in Lawrence Twp. to Chester A. Owens and Olive Mae (Ogden) Owens. He attended Clearfield High School, in the class of 1962. He served in the United States Army Reserves.
Dave married the love of his life, Sharon L. (Hayward) Owens on June 19, 1965 at the West Side Methodist Church. They had recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
He worked for Harbison-Walker until its closing, Ford Motor Co., in Ohio, and Precise Plastics in State College until his retirement.
Dave was a very kind and gracious man, a devoted family man; his wife and son meant the world to him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He enjoyed his retirement sitting on his patio and watching wildlife in his backyard.
Dave is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon; son, Gregory and fiancee, Keri of Clearfield; sister, Patricia of Florida; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Franklin Owens and Raymond W. Owens.
Respecting Dave's wishes, a private family gathering to honor his life will be held at a later time.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

I am sad to hear of Uncle David passing away. He was one of my favorite uncles. It was so good to see him again at my dad´s services in 2023. His excitement at seeing me and my brothers will always be with me. After I moved to Arizona, and he just saw the movie Raising Arizona, he quizzed me what it was like out "west". We had a great laugh.
Aunt Sharon and Greg, you´re in my prayers.

RIP Uncle David. You and Aunt Sharon were always some of my favorite people. I know we lost touch over the years, mostly due to me being constantly moving around the world for military and work. I really enjoyed seeing the family again at dad´s viewing a couple years ago. Please let me know if any plans for a remembrance. Condolences to you and Greg on the loss, the world is a little sadder with his passing.

So very sorry for your loss Sharon and family. I knew Dave when I was growing up on Flegal Road. His family ran the store on the corner of Flegal Rd and Turnpike Ext. He was a great guy. I went to school with Sharon. I´m so glad you had a happy life together.
