EMILIE DONNA COMLY

1939 - 2023

UNIONVILLE - Emilie Donna (Maney) Comly, 84, of Unionville passed into the presence of her Savior on Monday, Aug. 28, 2023 at Christ the King Manor in DuBois.

Emilie was born on July 1, 1939 in Ashland, the daughter of the late Earl and Rhoda (Kephart) Smith.

On June 8, 2002, she married William Comly, Sr., who survives. Emilie is also survived by her son, Kenneth (Jeanne) Maney of State College and her daughter, Sydney (James) Bell of DuBois. Also surviving are her five grandchildren J. T. Bell, Brennan Bell, Anyssa Caldwell, Elle Maney and Alex Maney; eight great-grandchildren; two step-children, William (Velvet) Comly, Jr. and Brenda Frazer and their families.

Emilie was a Christian by faith and attended the State College Assembly of God. Prior to that she attended the Curwensville Alliance Church.

Emilie had been employed at Kent Sportswear and Clearfield Cheese in Curwensville. Later she owned and managed Auntie Em's Restaurant in Clearfield.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Ray Smith and Earl Smith; and her two sisters, Ethel Ream and Jean Srock.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, Sept. 1, 2023 from 11 a.m. to noon at The Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 201 Spring St., Milesburg, with a funeral service to follow at 12 noon with Pastor Stephen D. Shields officiating.

Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Union Township, Centre County.
