Forrest Rowles Obituary

OLANTA - On May 4, 2025, Forrest D. Rowles was reunited with his wife of 52 years, and love of his life, Connie (Collins), who he met while attending Clearfield High School.

Upon graduating from high school, he was accepted to the Washington D.C. Police Academy, where he served his community as a D.C. Metropolitan Police Officer. After retiring from the police department, he entered Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington D.C., and became a Pastor in the Western Pennsylvania United Methodist Conference, with much of his ministry being shared through his music.

Outside of work, he had a passion for hunting, fishing, golfing, reading, and was an amateur paleontologist. He could also be found cheering on all Pittsburgh and Penn State sports teams.

Forrest was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, David and Viola (Hunter), and his brother Leif (Nancy Kunsman).

He is survived by two brothers, four children, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Brothers: Roger (Gwen Ott) and Clifford (Edith Oldham).

Children: Eric (Lesa Ward), Diana Roschi, Betsy Tirbovich (Barry), and Kathleen.

Grandchildren: Zachary (Katie Weinheimer), Emily (David Carli), Jaclyn Hicks (Andrew), Jonathan, Julia (Jalin Hankerson), Kathleen Hilt (Eric), and Ann Gause (Ben).

Great-grandchildren: Conall, Finnley, Rudy, Emaline, Rosalie, Anderson, Amelia and Isaiah.

Per his request, there will be no service. However, we leave you with the words of Forrest himself ...

"God Bless, stay safe, and have a good day."
