Helen Snyder Obituary

Helen Grace (Tudor) Snyder, 74, of Osceola Mills, passed away at her residence on Friday, Nov. 8, 2024 surrounded by her family.

Born on March 14, 1950, in Reynoldsville, she was the daughter of Ica Mae Carlson.

Helen was a graduate of Curwensville High School.

She was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Clearfield.

Helen retired after working a number of years for McDonalds and Wendy's restaurants. She also was employed by the Children's Aid Society, Clearfield in the late seventies.

On June 3, 1980 she wed her husband, Ernest Snyder, Sr. in Hyde. Together they raised their children, Charlotte Snyder, Bradenton, Fla.; and Ernest Snyder, Jr. and his wife, Chelsea; Michelle Orndorf and her husband, Travis and Lorrenna Snyder all of Osceola Mills.

She is also survived by two grandchildren, Ernest "EJ" Snyder, III, and Stella Snyder, both of Osceola Mills; one brother, Benjamin Carlson, Curwensville; numerous nieces and nephews and her two cockatiels, Charlie and Charlene.

Helen is preceded in death by her mother; husband; a brother, Lincoln Fleming; and a sister, Beverly Jean Martin.

Friends will be received at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday, Nov. 12 starting at 2 p.m. until the time of her funeral and committal services at 5 p.m. in the funeral home. Pastor Zeke Perez will be officiating.

I will miss Helen. She was like a 2nd mom to me. I am good friends with Lorrenna for years. It was always a joy to talk to Helen on the phone. I will miss talking to her. But ill always be there for Lorrenna.
