MARIE BOWSER Obituary
She was born in New York City, N.Y., on Oct. 7, 1947, a daughter of the late Patrick Pagona and Catherine (Prill) Pagona.
On June 05, 1964, she married Donald Boal. They enjoyed 32 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on Feb. 3, 1996. She later married Phillip Wayne Bowser and they had 21 years together. Phil survives and resides in Punxsutawney.
Marie was primarily a homemaker for her family but did enjoy working stuffing newspaper ads and inserts in the Clearfield Progress at one time.
Marie took great pride in her children and grandchildren. She was an excellent cook and made great meals for her family. She enjoyed crocheting in her free time.
In addition to her husband Phil, she is survived by by four children, Donald Boal Jr. and wife Darla of Faunce, Michael Boal and wife Helen of Curwensville, Timothy Boal of Big Run, and Melissa Humble and husband James of Punxsutawney; two stepsons, John Paul Bowser and Phillip "Duce" Bowser; 11 grandchildren, Kaleb Boal, Joshua Boal, Jessica Bloom, Sabrina Boal, Tyler Boal, Devan Curran, Camron Brown, Kierra Brown, Chloe Boal, Grady Boal, Monica Greene; numerous great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Donald Boal; and her sister Patricia Webb.
Friends will be received from 9-11 a.m. from and noon to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022, at Shumaker Funeral Home, inc., Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. officiated by Pastor Scott Schultz.
Interment will follow at Lakelawn Memorial Park.
