Marilyn Mayersky Obituary

CURWENSVILLE - Marilyn S. Mayersky, 80, of Curwensville, passed away Sunday, Aug. 3, 2025 at her residence after a lengthy illness.

Born March 16, 1945 in Curwensville, she was the daughter of George and Helen (Panko) Mayersky. She was a homemaker and dedicated her life to helping her family.

She was very religious and said the rosary daily. Her greatest joy was helping family and friends. She loved attending her great nieces and nephews school programs and sporting events. She also enjoyed attending adult day care at the Area Agency on Aging.

She is survived by her niece, Deborah Faccone and her husband Arthur of Curwensville with whom she lived with for many years, great niece Christine Kavelak (Tom), great nephew Ryan Aughenbaugh, great-great nieces and nephews Jordan Kavelak and fiancé J.R. Polisky, Jenna Kavelak and significant other Alex Gudalis, Logan Aughenbaugh, Eliza Aughenbaugh, and Nolan Aughenbaugh, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was the last member of her generation.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Sylvia Donahue, Ethel Mayersky, Rita Wilkinson, and Patricia Green; nephew Martin Mayersky, and great-great nephew Alex Kavelak.

Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Bonaventure Roman Catholic Church in Grampian on Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2025 at 11 a.m. with Father John Detisch officiating. Interment will be held in Crown Crest Cemetery.

Family and friends will be received at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Monday, Aug. 11, 2025 from 4-7 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9-10 a.m.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Hahne Cancer Society Patient Assistance Fund, 100 Hospital Avenue, DuBois, PA 15801

The Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville is in charge of arrangements.
