NANCY GEARHART Obituary
Born June 13, 1952 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of John Taylor and Elizabeth Jane (McClinsey) Mahlon. Nancy was a cook and had worked at the Starlight Lounge and Restaurant and the former Wendall's Restaurant, both in Mahaffey, and prior to that had worked in various other restaurants in the area.
She was a member of the Greenville Church of the Brethren in Grampian. She loved to cook and was affiliated with the Grampian Lions Club.
On June 24, 1972 in the Greenville Church of the Brethren, she wed Sanford I. "Sam" Gearhart, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Amanda Gearhart of Houtzdale; two grandsons, Bricen Gearhart and Kannon Addleman; and two sisters, Eileene Krom and husband Michael of Angleton, Texas, and Barbara Rowles and husband Harry of Grampian.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Roger Lee Mahlon and John Edward Mahlon; two infant brothers; a niece, Harley Rowles; and a nephew, Jason Krom.
Funeral services for Nancy Gearhart will be held at the Greenville Church of the Brethren, 3995 Greenville Pike, Grampian, on Monday, Nov. 7, 2022 at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Delmer Gabbard officiating. Interment will be in the Greenville Church Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2022 from 2 to 4 p.m., and again at the church on Monday from noon until time of services at 1 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc., 300 State St., Curwensville, PA 16833.
