Phyllis Stiner Obituary
She was born on Sept. 11, 1950, and raised in the southwest, primarily Albuquerque, N.M.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her beloved sons, Kevin and Steve Hubler, former husband Calvin Hubler, and dog Taz.
She is survived by her daughter, Crystal Hubler Butterbaugh, of State College; daughter-in-law, Sally Hubler, of Clearfield; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and beloved dog Gizmo.
Those who knew her best will remember Phyllis as tough, intelligent, and spirited.
Throughout her life, Phyllis worked as a homemaker, waitress, and certified nursing assistant (CNA). She had a deep affection for animals, particularly dogs. She enjoyed drawing, poetry, playing cards, and word search puzzles; and she was known for her beautiful handwriting.
An avid collector, Phyllis found joy in surrounding herself with clocks, elephants, oil lanterns, ashtrays, clowns, DVDs, vintage treasures, and memorabilia featuring Chucky and Marilyn Monroe.
To honor her lifelong love for animals, donations in her memory may be made to an animal shelter of your choice.
In writing, Phyllis signed every note the same way-'with love.' In conversation, she never said good- bye, rather 'later.'
And so, with love, we say: "Later."
