RAYMOND BUYNAK Obituary

SMOKE RUN - Raymond Joseph Buynak, Sr., 69, from Smoke Run, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023.

Born in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late Albert and Elizabeth (Dufour) Buynak.

An electrician by trade, he retired from the Moshannon Valley School District after many years of service.

He is survived by three children, Adriane Luksic (Greg) of Winnsboro, S.C., Michelle Buynak, of Salisbury, N.C., Raymond Buynak, Jr. (Laura), of Charlotte, N.C.; and six grandchildren, Rowan, Caden, Eden and Logan Luksic, and Alex and Carter Buynak. He is also survived by two brothers, Gerard Buynak (Carolyn), of Lawrenceburg, Ky. and Mark Buynak of Houtzdale.

He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was an avid outdoorsman and could be found hunting, fishing, motorcycle riding and spending time on his family farm.

A private family memorial service will take place in Pennsylvania at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in Raymond's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org. Pope Funeral Home is assisting the Buynak family.
