ROBERT BALKO Obituary
He was born May 15, 1939, in Saginaw, Mich., to Robert and Norma (Bigger) Balko.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Larry (Bugsy) Balko; grandson, Briar Hummel; two nieces, Jennifer and Leann; and a nephew, Gary.
He is survived by one brother, Theodore (Ted) Balko and sister, Myrna Conklin; ex-wife, Florence Preece (Smeal) with whom he has four daughters, Bobbi, (Ed) Yarger, Bonnie (Randy) Hutton, Sondra McQuillen, and Roni (Andrew) Hummel. Seven grandchildren, Erika, Jawna, Tori, Jordan, Kurt, Clayton, and Dennis; and nine great-grandchildren, Ryan, Breanna, Alayna, Haydn, Hannah, Avery, Carson, Briar, and Cassidy; two great-great-grandchildren, Ryeker, and Finnan. Numerous nieces and nephews and his special friend, Beverly Lashinsky (Potts).
Bob graduated from Cooper Township High School in 1958, he held numerous jobs before retiring from CCor in 1991.
He was very proud to be a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed family visits, sports and giving advice and guidance to all.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Forest, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Kenneth Zitsch officiating.
A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at the church recreation hall.
Family will attend graveside interment, privately.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3495 Winburne Munson Road, Morrisdale, PA 16858.
Strange and Weaver Funeral Service of Morrisdale is in charge of arrangements.

My Uncle was one of a kind. Like a second father he taught me numerous life lessons that I use to this day. One of Gods awesome creations. Miss you UB, see you on the other side.

Bob will be missed he lived next to me and my boyfriend Craig we helped each other out and Bob would let me use his truck when he need things from the store he was like a dad to Me I will miss his jokes and his laughs
