SARAH EXLEY Obituary

BIGLER - Sarah K. Exley, 64, of Bigler, died on Thursday, Jan. 6, 2022 at UPMC Harrisburg.

She was born on Aug. 13, 1957 in Philipsburg, a daughter of the late Clarence and Roseanna (Maines) McBride.

Sarah attended the St. Francis High School and was a homemaker. Most of all, she enjoyed her family and time spent in each other's company. She also liked to go camping and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Curwensville.

She is survived by her husband, Dewey Exley, whom she wed on Nov. 27, 1974; three children, Dewey 'Dewbug' E. Exley Jr. of New Millport, Shannon K. Bock and husband Charles of Clearfield and Scott E. Exley and wife Angel of Shiloh; eight grandchildren, Katlynn, Veronica, Jordyn, Hilton, Elizabeth, Isaac, Maranda and Alex; a great-granddaughter, Addalynn; two brothers, Eugene Greene of Clearfield and Allen McBride of Irvona; two sisters, June Lance and husband Dave of Clearfield and Rose Mignot and husband Doug of Clearfield; two step-brothers, Clarence McBride and John McBride; and three step-sisters, Betty Dixon, Cookie Dixon and Mary Price.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Rebecca; and a brother, Gilbert Maines.

Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church, Curwensville on Tuesday at noon with the Rev. Daniel M. Osterhout officiating. Interment will be in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.

Friends will be received at the First Baptist Church, Curwensville on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at noon.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Curwensville First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 312, Curwensville, PA 16833 or the West Central Kidney Assoc., DuBois Regional Medical Center, 100 Hospital Ave., DuBois, PA 15801.
