William K. "Bill" Diffenderfer
South Mountain - Mr. William K. "Bill" Diffenderfer, 67, of South Mountain, PA, passed away Friday, July 23, 2021, in Camp Hill, PA.
Born September 11, 1953 in Waynesboro, PA he was the son of the late Andrew F. and Ruth E. (Naugle) Diffenderfer. Bill lived his entire life in South Mountain and was a lifelong member of the South Mountain Fish and Game Association and the Adams County Fish and Game Association.
In his early adult years, he worked for the Borough of Chambersburg. For most of his adult life until his retirement, he worked for Knouse Foods in Orrtanna, PA.
Bill enjoyed listening to country music, sprint car racing, and traveling to different states to hunt with family and friends. In better health days, he enjoyed taking his nephews and great-nephews out into the mountains to what he called teaching them his good hunting skills. They will remember those times for the rest of their lives.
He is survived by one brother, Larry S. Diffenderfer and his wife, Linda; one sister, Linda K. Mowen and her husband, John; two nieces, Lori Stoops and her husband, Arnie and Heidi Cook; five nephews, Scott Wagaman and his wife, Angelia, Jason Diffenderfer and his wife, Lisa, Joshua Diffenderfer and his wife, Crissy, Michael Diffenderfer and his wife, Brianne, and Ethan Diffenderfer and his wife, Karen; his great nieces and nephews, whom he loved very much: Hannah, Haley, Jacquelyn, Jacob, Madison, Christopher, Raelyn, Carly, Mathew, Dawson, Vanity, Gage, Jordyn, Dillon, Blayton, Zaylee and Isabella; and one great-great-niece, Inara.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Galen Diffenderfer; one sister, Della Wagaman; and one nephew, Donald Wagaman, Jr.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, July 30, 2021 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, with Pastor Jeremy Lehman officiating. Burial will follow in Strang's Cemetery, South Mountain.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services, Friday morning, in the funeral home.
