David Gottlieb Obituary

David was born in San Francisco, and moved to San Rafael where he attended and graduated from High School. David worked at Hamilton Air Force Base and tried numerous times to enlist in the Military to defend his Country during the Korean conflict. He had a hip condition and was not allowed to enlist.David worked at Graham's Lumber in San Rafael and later at Goodmans Lumber in Mill Valley, before moving to Vacaville in 1971 to open up Vacaville Lumber on Mason Street. David partnered with Jack Lagamarsino, Bob Otis and Rod Boles to open and run Vacaville Lumber until early 2000. After Vacaville Lumber, David operated Brooks Bar on Main Street for a few years, before moving to Reno, NV. In Reno, David worked for a short time in different casinos before retiring in the Reno area. After the death of David's second wife {Linda} he received care and companionship from his very close friend Alberta Friedline, who took very good care of him until he had to be hospitalized for the remainder of his life.

Proceeded in death by his parents, Paul and Dorthy Gottlieb and first wife, Barbara Louise Gottlieb and second wife, Linda Gottlieb. He is survived by his sister Reva Lane; daughters, Gina McCoy (Mack) and DeDee Rhodes; sons, David Gottlieb Jr. (Kelli), and Greg Gottlieb (Patti), Chris Rhodes, Willie Rhodes and Arthur Rhodes; grandchildren, Shanti, Gabe, Sarada, Paul, Amy, Kaela, Adam; great grandchildren, Antonio, Uriah, Aniya, Malachi.

A memorial and celebration of his life will take place on April 12, at 1 p.m., at 201 Main St. (Main Street Church) in Winters.

To my God Father,
I will miss you very much. You always had a smile every time I saw you and a Big Hug. I love you so much and will someday see you again. My Heart and Eyes cry now for you, but at least you aren't in any pain any more.
