Jacob Andres Obituary

Nov. 14, 1990 - July 24, 2017

Jacob Robert Andres of Vacaville and Jackson passed away in the early morning hours on Monday, July 24, having lived his 26 year life to the fullest. Born on Nov. 14, 1990 in Vallejo, he was welcomed with open arms from his parents and oldest sister, Chelsae and closed arms by his sister, Rachel, who had wanted a baby sister. She eventually warmed up to him and was one of his closest allies. In his younger years, Jake could be found on the ball field with his family in tow, or on the water discovering new ways to catch dinner. He attended Padan Elementary, Willis Jepson Junior High, and graduated from Vacaville High School in 2009.

Baseball awakened a new love and meaning for life in Jake when he was a young boy. He played for the Vacaville American Little League, Vacaville High School Baseball team, and for two years at Sacramento City College. Most recently Jake, aka "Nugget" joined the Preston Nine, an 1800's Gold Country Vintage Baseball League based in Amador County. It was no secret Jake had a deep love for food, and not just eating it! He spent two years as a lead cook with the Jackson Rancheria learning new tricks and exploring new foods. Before his passing, Jake worked as an electrician's apprentice with plans to join a trade school for underwater welding in the fall.

Jake is survived by his father, Thomas Andres; mother and stepfather, Laurie and Rich Hartmann; sister and brother in law, Chelsae and Rick Rohrback; sister and brother in law, Rachel and Chris Taylor; sister from another mister, Jessica Andres; brothers from other mothers, Lucas Andres, Bobby Nunez Jr, and Mikey Valderrama; nieces, Kayleigh, Katherine, Kory, Madison, Keira, and his favorite nephew, Tristan. Jake also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who he loved deeply, including his new found family at the Jackson Rancheria.

Jake's celebration of life will be held at 5:30 p.m., on Sunday, Aug. 6 on field A at Keating Ball Park. All are welcome to attend.

R.I.P. Jake you played ball with my sons Thomas,(T-Bone) and Steven (Scuba Steve ) for alot of years and your family were great to my sons and you were a good friend to them also. Loved watching all you guys together playing a lot of baseball. You have put a smile on a lot of hearts and those memories will be forever in each and every one of those hearts you touched.

It's unbelievable that we live in a world without Jake. His infectious laugh, unyielding positivity, and genuine loving spirit has left a permanent impression on all those he encountered. I feel so fortunate to have been able to consider him my own brother, despite coming from a separate family. Jake was a sweet and compassionate man with delightfully mischievous side. Saying that he will be missed is a severe understatement. I am beyond thrilled to know that his legacy will live on through the lives he's touched during his time on earth as well as those who will benefit from his memorial foundation. I'm so proud of the man that he became, and I'm sad that I will not be able to see what else Jake had in store for this life; but in the short time he was here, he sure had one hell of a ride! Rest in peace, little brother. Your spirit will live on forever.
