Patsy Gannon Obituary

March 17, 1943 - April 4, 2013
Patsy Ann Gannon was surrounded by her beloved family when she left us to go dance among the angels. She had just turned 70 on St. Patrick's Day.
Born in Albany, CA to devoted and loving parents, Bonnie and Bob Elliott, Patsy grew up in the Richmond/San Pablo area and graduated from DeAnza High School in 1961.
Although a semi-quadriplegic since age 16, Patsy never let her disabilities slow her down. She completed high school, married Patrick Gannon at age 23 and gave birth to her daughter, Kimberly, at age 24. Patsy moved with her family to Fairfield, CA in 1975. She enjoyed painting, crafts, genealogy, reading, movies, and loved spending time with her extended family.
Through the years, Patsy overcame many insurmountable odds, yet led a happy, fulfilling life. She inspired all who knew her with her incredible spirit of independence, determination and kindness. She was a beautiful, amazing person and will be remembered as such by her family and friends.
Patsy is preceded in death by her mother, Bonnie Elliott, and husband, Patrick Gannon. She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Kimberly Oliver; son-in-law, John Oliver; father, Robert (Bob) C. Elliott; brother, Bill Cole; brother, Bob Elliott; sister-in-law, Sonja Elliott; nieces, Terri Elliott, Lisa Ashby, Melissa Jett, Michelle Allen, Stephanie Cole; nephew, Billy Cole and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation or the Wounded Warrior Project. Visitation will be Wednesday, April, 10 from 5 to 9 p.m., with services on Thursday, April 11, at 12 Noon, both services will be at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home, 1850 W. Texas St., Fairfield. Burial to follow at Rockville Cemetery, 4219 Suisun Valley Rd., Fairfield.
