A Celebration of Life honoring Wesley "Wes" DeVere Dahl, 80, will be held on Tuesday, May 24, at 11 a.m. at Nadeau Family Funeral Home. Mr. Dahl passed away on Tuesday, May 10, in Vacaville Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center after a long illness. He was born on August 12, 1930 to Milo and Catherine (Suby) Dahl in Lake Mills, Iowa. He was raised in Minnesota and attended and Graduated from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. Wes served 2 years in the United States Army. There after, he was employed with Montgomery Ward in Management Training Program, the Alexander Proudfoot Company based in Chicago and was an Efficiency Expert 5 years. His career took him to Blue Shield of Minnesota, Blue Cross of New York and finally Senior Vice President of Blue Shield, California. He loved playing golf, fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jean of Vacaville; sons, Scott of Alameda, Steven of Vacaville and Mark of Oakhurst; daughter, Amy of Vacaville; sister, Shirley Dahl of Minneapolis; six grandchildren, Kelly, Jordan, Timothy, Christopher, Victoria, Courtney; and great-granddaughter, Faith.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Susan G. Koman, Race for the Cure Foundation.
