We will miss your wonderful Shasta energy, Bill. But we fully count on you constantly looking down on us all, watching over Campbell Creek cove as our continuing unofficial mayor. Love Dennis and Judy

There’s a Shasta Lake in Heaven
There’s a Shasta Lake in heaven,
Although I don’t know where,
”I-tell-you- whut”, I know for sure,
Our Bill McDaniel’s there.
He’s motoring all around the Lake,
Of course he is the king.
Of all that floats, walks and swims,
And even takes to wing.
Oh yeah, and it’s a better place,
He’d be quick to tell us all,
We all know his reputation,
As an in-tell-ec-tu-al.
There’s all the Oly he can drink,
The electricity is free.
Gas is free for pouring,
Life’s all downhill you see.
Bill wrote a book on fishing,
And up there he’s truly blessed,
The fishing, you get, in heaven,
Beats Lorenzetti at his best.
Smoke ‘em if you got ‘em,
And raise your glass on high.
McDaniel’s off to heaven,
Though he’d ask us not to cry.
Bill always said,” I tell you whut”
You’d better look around,
Enjoy yourself, your friends, this place. . ,
We get just one go-round.
The beauty here, as Bill would say,
Is in everything you see.
So jump on in, kick back and live,
Your life is really free.
When the Lake is at her heavenly best,
And on her charms you gaze.
Think of our Bill McDaniel,
And all his “Wild Bill” ways.
There’s a Shasta Lake in heaven,
Although I don’t know where,
” I tell you whut”, I know for sure,
Our Bill McDaniel’s there.

Bill-
There are no words - yes I'm at a loss for words - to tell you how much you were appriciated and will be missed. The lake will never be quite the same again.
