I loved birding with Joe and just talking with him and Nancy. Our Spring Nature Weekends at Spruce Lake were such fun!

I enjoyed hearing about all the birds he saw, and some of his trips.

My late Dad, Harold Keeler and Joe were always joking, laughing together and talking about birds.
I remember both Joe and Esther fondly. They were always welcoming and friendly. They were cousins of my father. I'm sure they are laughing, chatting, and smiling in heaven.
Enjoy the stories and fond memories you have of Joe in your time of grief.

joe's skills as stone mason and as a human being has inspired myself and many others in our industry, and will always be remembered as a man whose "giving" of himself to educate others has been a "light to learn by" as best as any man can. God Bless Joe in Heaven.

Sad to hear the news today. Condolences to the family of Joe.
Joe and Ester were friend of my parents. We always visited them when we got back in to PA to visit family. Mom and Dad spents lots of hours talking about trips and hobbies, seeing this bird or finding insulators.
Joe got me into collecting stamps when I was into grade school/jr. High. He used to being down 3 maybe 4 grocery bags of stamps (full to the top) to sort through. Oh the hours spent looking at stamps at their house. Along with Joe telling me lots of jokes.
It had been a long time since I seen Joe and Ester, I just don't get into PA anymore since my grandparents passed away. But I know my father would stop and visit when he would get in that way.
Joe, wish I could have stopped to see you one more time but that was not meant to be. I know you will be happier in heaven with Ester. Joe you will be missed. Say Hello to my mother for me when you see her.

I offer my sincere condolences to the family of Joseph. I have known Joe since I was a little girl at Haycock Mennonite Mission. I will always remember his effervescent smile, his stories, his laughter, and his love for the Lord. I last saw him at his 90th birthday celebration, and as usual, I enjoyed talking with him.
Our consolation and comfort is in knowing that we will meet him again one day, and "What a day of rejoicing that will be."
Blessings and prayers of Comfort to the Family,
Jacque Holliday
