Grace Woods Obituary

BRYSON CITY - Grace Louise Woods, 75, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, Aug. 18, 2025. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Voyd and Sarah Simonds McMahan and wife of the late Carroll Woods.
She was a member of the Governors Island Baptist Church. She was a caregiver and worked many years in the healthcare industry.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Dillon Simpson.
She is survived by her children, Jimmy Simpson, Melissa Simpson, Robert Woods and Eugene Carol Woods, Jr.; grandchildren, Sarah Rose Simpson, Brittany Nicole Simpson, Cody Dillon Simpson, Kristie Ball, Trey Woods, Dustin Woods and Kayla Woods; many great-grandchildren; siblings, Ruth Keener and Charles Lee McMahan; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Aug. 22 in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Justin Ledford will officiate with burial in the Holly Springs Cemetery #2.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
