Randy Moon Obituary
He was born & raised in Bryson City, NC and was a Swain County High's Class of 1975 graduate. In 1976, he relocated to Dallas, TX where he remained in the region until his death.
Pops enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, talking to anyone and everyone he crossed paths with, and was always cracking a joke. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and coleslaw connoisseur.
Pops is predeceased in death by his parents Roberta Maney Moon Howard of Bryson City, NC& Mell Merritt Moon of Watkinsville, GA; older brother & sister, Steve Moon of Bryson City, NC & Janis Moon of Toccoa, GA; Mother & Father-In-Laws Sandra & Evaristo Mercado of Dallas, TX, and nephew, Matthew Moon of Bryson City, NC.
Pops is survived and missed by his loving wife of nearly 46 years, Connie "Mariea" (née Mercado); their two children, Michael (Melissa) of Ovilla, TX & Jennifer (Joshua) of Irving, TX; his four beautiful granddaughters, Jordyn, Jasmyn, Abigail, and Jade; his two bonus-grandchildren, Brandon and Caity; brother Don Moon (Sheila) of Bryson City, NC; sister Pam Cunningham of Bryson City, NC; Ricky Moon (Leanne) of Hendersonville, NC along with countless other friends, family & anyone else that knew, near & far.
