Joseph Stein Obituary
His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, October 29, 2021 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Lambert officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Richfield. The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Albemarle on Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m.
Born October 5, 1944, in Stanly County, NC, he was the son of the late Joseph Carlyle Stein Sr. and Lorean Clayton Stein.
He attended Antioch Baptist Church and was former employee of Homes by Oakwood.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years Sharri Elaine Barringer Stein; son Carl Stein (Angie) of China Grove, daughters Cindi Tipton (Bill) of New London, Sandra Lomax of Denton; brothers Jimmy Stein of Rockwell; sisters Pat Aldridge of Badin, Sylvia Smith of Albemarle, Linda Little of Albemarle; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by brother-in-law Tony Smith and son-in-law Eric Lomax.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made for Cancer and Heart research.
