Kyle Allen Obituary
Kyle Bennett Allen "Wild Bill," 17, of Sunset Lake Road, Stanfield, passed away April 18, 2010, at Stanly Regional Medical Center, Albemarle, after an accident.
A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Wednesday, at Carolina Presbyterian Church, Locust, officiated by Rev. Patrick Womack. The visitation will follow in the church fellowship hall. At other times, the family will meet at his home.
He was born Oct. 25, 1992, in Mecklenburg County and was a junior at West Stanly High School.
Kyle loved his '41 Harley and enjoyed riding pit bikes with his friends. He was a member of AMCA Blueridge Chapter motorcycle club, and worked with his dad in Allendale Furniture and Allen Storage Centers. He loved his parents and his brother, who was his best friend. He was an organ donor.
Survivors include his parents, Rick and Janet Allen of Stanfield; brother, Ramsey Allen of Stanfield; maternal grandparents, Lib Barrier and friend, Red Picklesimer of Locust; and paternal grandparents, Paul and Gwen Allen of Stanfield. He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Joseph Barrier.
Memorials may be sent to the Kerri Efird Memorial Scholarship Fund, 106 Walnut Creek Road, Locust, NC 28097 or NorthEast Foundation, c/o Jeff Gordon's Children Hospital, 920 Church St., North, Concord, NC 28025.
Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland, is serving the Allen family.

Somewhere between 700 and 900 people showed up at Carolina Church yesterday. Heard the pastor say "I don't know why things like this happen, But God does and He is in control" and read Romans 8:28. I pray that God will use Kyle's life and passing as a reminder to other young people and that he will not have died in vain....... God be with you Rick, Janet and Ramsey always...

Dear Allen Family,
I didn't Know Kyle personaly but I heard of him everyday.It was Bill this and Bill that,he sounded like a great kid.He was a very good friend to my son and he thought the world of him. To the entire Allen Family: My brother just called me to let me know of your loss. Your family meant a lot to my family when we were all students at Mt. Pleasant. My sister, brother, and myself will continue to hold you in prayer during this difficult time. I did not know Kyle but I can tell by how many people in the Western Stanly County area that loved and cared for him that he was a great person. I have heard how he could light up a room whenever he walked in and how he was so nice to everyone he ever met. I am praying for the family during this time...God Bless.
