Joyce Marks Obituary
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, in Riggin-Pillatsch Funeral Home in Carterville, with the Rev. Joe Hamon, the Rev. R.H. Chitwood and the Rev. Ron Henwood officiating. Burial will be in Blairsville Cemetery. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, at the funeral home.
Joyce was born Feb. 1, 1931, in Cambria to Jack and Jewell (Cundiff) White. She married Lonnie Marks on Oct. 29, 1948, in Marion.
She is survived by her husband, Lonnie Marks of Cambria; two daughters and son-in-law, Pat and Jim Lefler of Cambria and Cindy Marks of Cambria; son, Michael Marks of Sparta; three granddaughters, Tara Lefler of Herrin, Tiffany Noakes of Carterville and Christy Noakes of Percy; and two great-grandsons, Sheldon and Trenton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jackie Don White; and great-grandson, Caleb Lefler Neace.
Joyce was a homemaker.
She was a member of Cambria Christian Church. She enjoyed making and collecting porcelain dolls and would sell them at craft fairs under the name of Doll's by Joyce.
She also collected music boxes and loved to work in her rose garden, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Memorials may be made to Cambria Christian Church or American Lung Association.

Remember the good times it helps you through the tough ones.
I will always remember driving by your house and her sitting out on the porch swing. I love all the great memories I have of living in that little Village of Cambria.
