Michael Jungewaelter Obituary

CHESTER - Michael J. "Isaac" Jungewaelter, 44, died at 7:45 p.m. Thursday, July 31, 2008, in St. Louis University Hospital.

Mike was born Dec. 19, 1963, in Red Bud, a son to Clifford "Butch" and Donna Jean (Schwent) Jungewaelter on

Mike married Brenda (Diercks) Weber on May 16, 2008 in Destin, Fla.; she survives him.

Mike was a dock forman at Knight Hawk Coal Dock for 10 years. He was also co-owner of Jungewaelter Inc.

Mike was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chester, Knights of Columbus 3790 in Chester and operating engineer local 520. He was Democrat committee vice chairman and Palestine precinct committeeman. He was a member of Chester Boat Club and Chester Eagle Club Aerie 3552. He was an avid boater who loved life.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Jungewaelter of Chester; parents Clifford "Butch" and Jean Jungewaelter of Chester; stepdaughter, Bethany Weber of Chester; three uncles Gary Schwent and wife, Carolyn, of Chester, Ron Schwent and wife, Margie, of Fruitland, Mo. and Terry Jungewaelter and wife, Beverly, of Chester; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; mother-in-law; cousins; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Earl and Margaret Jungewaelter and Welton and Frances Schwent; and stepgrandmother, yrtle Schwent.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 4, 2008, in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chester, with Father Gene Wojcik officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today and from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 4, 2008, at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home in Chester.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic School of Chester.
