Brad Bateman Obituary
St. George
Brad Robert Bateman of St. George, Utah, died August 12, 2014. He was born in Salt Lake City on March 15, 1954 to Bob and Betty Bateman. Brad graduated from Hillcrest High School and University of Utah where he studied business. He worked in construction equipment sales and real estate.
Brad was the singer/songwriter and guitarist for the Sundogs of Southern Utah. He has inspired many by sharing his musical talent. He was an awesome water and snow skier. He enjoyed exploring the outdoors, sharing good times with good friends, good food and good music.
He was loved by family and many friends and was a loving Uncle to his "super-nieces": Maren, Megan, Morgen, Brooke, Skye, and Sunny. Brad is survived by his sister, Cheryl B. Kidder; and nieces, Michelle McInnes (Alan) and Kathy Meyers (Jake). Graveside services will be held at South Jordan Cemetery on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at 10:30 am. A memorial service will be held at the Barbary Coast, 4242 S. State Street on September 7, 2014 at 2:00 pm.

I remember many great scout camps with Brad and the fun we had. I also remember teaching him how to play the guitar in his home. Glad to hear he developed that talent

Brad was a neighbor and schoolmate in the early 70's. He was one of the nicest, most fun-loving, and positive young men I was acquainted with. Indeed, he was incredibly attractive, but the combination of his sparkling eyes and his dazzling smile reflected the beauty and sincerity of his spirit, above and beyond his striking good looks. Brad certainly knew how to light up a room, as well as our whole school.
My condolences to his family for losing him too soon.

Condolences to the Bateman family. In high school Danette H. and I were privileged to ski with him and marvel at his ability, skiing through the huge mogels, doing helicopters and such. He was the "heart throb" of our school--so handsome and fun-loving. He will be missed.
