Allen Pack Obituary

Published by Legacy on Mar. 11, 2026.
Allen Grant Pack, age 79, died peacefully surrounded by family on March 11th, 2026, at their home in Midvale, UT, after a four-year battle with dementia.

Allen was born on September 23, 1946, in Salt Lake City, UT, to Ray and Fay Pack. He graduated from Hillcrest High School in Midvale, UT, in 1965. In his senior year in high school, he won the Utah Industrial Acts Contest in 1965 with a high-fidelity stereo and color TV combination walnut console. He attended Salt Lake Community College and became a licensed plumber and certified welder.

His life changed forever when he met his sweetheart, Barbara Lucas Pack, at the Terrace Ballroom in Salt Lake City. They were married on November 6, 1971, and exactly 21 years later, on their anniversary in 1992, they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. A true testament to their steady and devoted love, they shared the same home from the day they returned from their honeymoon until the time of his passing.

Allen was more than a skilled craftsman, he was a steady presence and a source of strength. He worked tirelessly to care for those he loved, but he also knew how to enjoy life, whether it was family trips to Bear Lake, camping at the farm in Spanish Fork, or gathering around the player piano singing songs together. Those moments became treasured memories that his family will carry with them always.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Lucas Pack; his children, Rodney (Tonya) Pack, Lana (Jon) Bell, and Andrea (Ben) Ahyou; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by his brother, David (Claudia) Pack, and his brother, Earl (Leslie) Pack. He was preceded in death by his sister, Linda (Jack) Pulsipher.

Funeral services will be held at the LDS Meeting house on 1050 Chapel Hill Dr. in Midvale, UT. The viewing will begin at 10:00am, the funeral will be at 11:30am and the graveside services will be at Memorial Mortuaries and Cemeteries in Millcreek.
