Carole Graff Obituary

Carole Dawn Fullerton Graff

St. George

Carole passed from this mortal life on September 8, 2012. She was born on August 30, 1938 in St. George, Utah to Samuel Keith and Dona Shakespeare Fullerton.

Carole married her high school sweetheart, James Burton Graff, on June 1, 1958. After finishing college they moved to Las Vegas, where they raised their family and Jim taught school for 34 years. Retirement brought them back to Dixie for the remainder of her life. Along the way they made many friends; they love and cherish those relationships.

Carole enjoyed many things in life, her family and friends, making jewelry, painting, traveling the world, the beach, anywhere in the 5th wheel, and movies. She served in many church positions in the LDS church and worked with LDS social services in Las Vegas and St. George; helping with adoptions.

She is survived by her husband Jim;children, Sam (Susan) Graff, Las Vegas, NV; Susie (Brad) Markus, Riverton, Utah; Tracy (Angi) Graff, St. George, Utah; eight Grandchildren, and four Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Lynn Moreno of Las Vegas, NV, and brother, Tom Ratliff, of Dayton, NV. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS chapel off Tonaquint Drive: 1068 W. Chandler Dr. There will also be a viewing on Monday, September 10th, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S. Bluff Street, St. George and Tuesday prior to the services from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Santa Clara City Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Utah Hospice Specialist for their tender care and all the family, friends and neighbors who served her in the last months of her life as she valiantly fought ALS, (Lou Gehrig's disease).

Arrangements are under the direction of Spilsbury Mortuary, St. George, UT (435) 673-2454. Family and friends are invited to sign her guest book at www.spilsburymortuary.com .

Jim and Family.....we offer our sympathy and condolences at this difficult time. I have fond memories of Carole as we grew up together a couple of blocks apart in "Sandtown". And we were neighbors when we lived in College Park, and in the same Ward. We will miss Carole.
