Carolyn Kramer Obituary

Enoch-

Carolyn Kramer passed suddenly from this life into the arms of her Heavenly Father on May 14, 2014 at her home in Enoch, Utah. Carolyn was the daughter and only child of Roger Norris Kohler and Dorothy Lucille Barber Kohler. She was born August 10, 1944 in Pasadena, Los Angeles County, California. She married her high school sweetheart, George Kramer, June 15, 1963 in El Monte, California. They shared nearly 52 years of wonderful companionship together.

Carolyn will be sorely missed by her family and friends made in California and in the Cedar City, Utah area. Carolyn always had an upbeat mood. She was a humble person, always thinking of others. She was always the "rock" that others leaned on. When daughter Kimberly became overwhelmed with demands of motherhood, they came to live with George and Carolyn so Carolyn could help care for new grand baby Rebecca. A close bond developed between Rebecca and her grandparents which continues even to this day. When Carolyn's father passed away, she and George took her mother in to live with them, and they supported her and loved her in her declining years. Carolyn has been at her husband George's side throughout all of his health problems, and was even starting to learn how to do kidney dialysis so he could come home.

Carolyn and George raised two daughters; Sheryl Marie and Kimberly Sue in the San Gabriel Valley in California. They have been painfully proud of their two girls. They lived across the street from Carolyn's parents so the family was very close. Carolyn and George joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints while living in California. The have been faithful and active members, becoming beloved friends of all who have known them. Carolyn and George made friends everywhere in the neighborhood, at church, at the hospitals and the dialysis unit, at the stores. No one is a stranger to these two.

Carolyn enjoyed loving her "critters". She called them her "furry family" She raised chicks and ducklings, and had several dogs and cats over the years. She and George even had a goat for a while. She enjoyed all their personalities and little quirks.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Roger Norris Kohler and Dorothy Lucille Barber Kohler, and daughter; Kimberly Sue Kramer Campbell. She is survived by her husband George Kramer, daughter; Sheryl Marie Kramer (Steve Grabe) and by her granddaughter Rebecca Campbell. We extend our deepest sympathy to all of her family at this sad time. In lieu of flowers make donations to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.

Funeral will be held Monday, May 19, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Enoch Homestead Ward (1390 E Midvalley RD.) Viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30 am prior to the funeral also at the church. Interment will be at the Cedar City Cemetery.
