Doug Tait Obituary

Douglas Melvin Tait

Salt Lake City

Douglas Melvin Tait, born June 21, 1950, loving husband, brother, step-father, grandpa and uncle, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 10, 2013 from complications of COPD and the flu.

We'll remember Doug as hard working, talented, loyal, gentle, honest, generous and loving. He was passionate about music, sports, animals and being in the outdoors. Doug's quiet self-assuredness made him the "rock" of many lives. He loved his construction work and had a true appreciation for the dedicated men and women he worked with. He was welcomed into heaven by his loving parents, Melvin and Verda. He leaves behind his adoring wife, Lonna, of Salt Lake City, and her children and grandchildren. Additional loved ones are sister, Karen, (Mike) Headington of Las Vegas, NV, brother, Garland Tait of Lehi, UT, and many loving nieces and nephews. We love you, Doug

My condolences to those who knew and loved Doug. Doug was my neighbor when I was a child. I remember him for the backyard football and basketball games he played with Garland and I, his music and work ethic as an adult. Peace and comfort to you all!
