I loved Ivy Ruckman's books, especially Night of The Twisters. So saddened to hear about this great author's passing.

I'm saddened at the death of this great lady. She was my writing inspiration and invited me to her home in Kayenta, where we sat on the front porch in a rainstorm and had coffee and cookies, while she reviewed my first novel with me. If not for her encouragement, I wouldn't be pursuing my passion. She was absolutely lovely and will be missed by many. Please accept my condolences for your loss.

We loved Ivy so much and will miss her terribly. She made the world a better place through her writing for young people.

Ivy was always so kind to me as a little kid. Mom always loved Ivy. I always thought we where the coolest when she used our name in one of her books. Cool stuff when your a kid. I still ask new climbing friends if they know of the Ruckmans. Amazing how famous you are.
She is truly one of the great ones.

Ivy was such an amazing gift to our world! Everyone who knew her cherished her. I was so honored that she chose to purchase my home to live in during her Kayenta years. We were close friends from the moment I met her in September 1998. I will always cherish her and adore her. Ivy, we will all miss you terribly but will remember you forever through your amazing books and the magical memories we share. Daniel Pettegrew
