Larry Ward Obituary

Larry Ward

New Harmony

Larry Ward, 60, encircled in the arms of his eternal companion, Kelley Berrett Callaghan Ward, graduated with honors on February 5, 2015.

He was received by his loving parents, William T & Juana Angell Ward, who preceded him in death.

Born in Whittier, CA, Larry lived in various So California locations, Solvang being his favorite. He also spent 4+ years on the big island of Hawaii, in Pahoa. Some of his youth was spent in what he considered his true home - Rockville, UT.

Being a talented architectural draftsman, school bus driver, paramedical examiner, nurseryman & farmer were all secondary to what he considered to be his most important role - that of a priesthood holder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. His love for the Savior will be an example for many in the years to come, through the book he authored, 'The Fifth Gospel'.

In addition to his wife, Larry is survived by his son, Thomas, & grandchildren Zack, Ike, & Madison.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 14, 2015, at 1:00 pm at Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S Bluff St, St George, UT. (435) 673-2454.

Friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Santa Clara City Cemetery.

All are invited to sign Larry's online guestbook at www.spilsburymortuary.com.

We are grateful to Alliance Hospice RN, Ethan Bunker, for his loving, expert, & generous care. And also a special thanks to Dr Robert & Mary Pearson (& staff), & Dr Steven Newman.

We are so appreciative of the members of the Kolob Canyon Ward & other New Harmony valley residents for their compassionate & loving service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Missionary Fund - or - take your family out for a special dinner together!

Hi Larry: I am deeply sorry that I haven't had a chance to go out and see you while you were alive, and still owing to severe financial constraints, never had the chance to attend your funeral either. However, for the times that we have talked on the phone and emailed, I just want you to know that you are a great man and I would've loved to meet you, and you will always be in my heart and live on in my memories. Rest in peace.
