Willard
WILLARD - Our loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend, Lewis Ralston Huntsman, 84, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on November 23, 1931 in Enterprise, Utah, a son of Emery Edward and Ida Barbara Staheli Huntsman.
He graduated from Enterprise High School in 1950 and from BYU. Lewis served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
Lewis married his sweetheart, Jeanette Ann Waisath on November 25, 1966 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
He retired from Thiokol in 1999 as a Chemist.
Lewis enjoyed hunting in the hills of Enterprise, being a cowboy in his younger days, but most of all, he loved being with his family. Lewis was a faithful member of the LDS Church.
The family would like to thank all their family members, friends, neighbors, doctors, nurses and Carl Olsen for their concern and care given to Lewis.
Surviving are his wife, Jeanette; four children, Charlada Huntsman; Roy (Khristy) Huntsman; Diana (Brian) Chapman; Herman (Melissa) Huntsman; 15 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and one sister, Nora Truman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and 10 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Willard LDS 2nd Ward Chapel, 7615 South 665 West.
Viewings will be held on Friday, July 22, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City, and on Saturday at the Willard LDS 2nd Ward Chapel from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
Interment will be in the Willard Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans of Box Elder County.
