Marian Lister Slack, age 81, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, December 12, 2014, and joined her sweetheart Carlyle in their heavenly home. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, and will be deeply missed.

Marian was born August 4, 1933, to Marion Boyd Lister and Lola Smith Lister in Panguitch, Utah. She married Carlyle E. Slack on September 9, 1950; later solemnized in the St. George Temple April 17, 1959. They were blessed with five children whom they raise in Clearfield, Utah. She loved being with her family and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. After retiring from Hill Air Force Base, she and Carlyle relocated to Toquerville, Utah.

She is survived by 3 children; daughter Susan (Craig) Nielson of Toquerville/Sunset Utah; sons, Ellis (Marie) Slack and David (Sue) Slack of Salt Lake City, Utah; 11 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren; sisters Sandy Thomas and DeeAnn Walker and brothers, Fred Lister and Clark Lister. Marian was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carlyle and their daughters, Ellen Slack and Marie Beasley.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Toquerville 1st Ward Chapel. Additional information can be found online: www.serenitystg.com
