Dearest Family, I am soo sorry that I was out of town when Mick passed away and the funeral was held. I see that there is a grave side service that I will come to. I am sorry that I couldn't be to the funeral in
St. George. I would have come had I not been watching grandchildren while their parents were in Europe on a business/vacation, (Wade & Valerie.) I hope family coming together gave some comfort to you all. My love and condolences to you all.

I have only one fun memory of Micky Bennion to share. I went out with him once to a prom and when we went out to dinner (I think it was after the dance), we all placed our order and what I remember is that Micky ordered "spring chicken". Well, we waited and waited and waited for our meal and finally found out that what was holding everything up was Micky's order! We all thought it was very funny and gave him a lot of ribbing about it, which he took graciously.
I'm so sorry to hear about your loss and hope that you will feel heaven's comfort as you grieve.

I worked with Merv and it was one of the most joyous times! I laughed, I learned, and I grew as a person. I have told Merv stories ever since then. I know that God will never be the same once Merv gets there and pulls his finger - ok, folks you know he's going to do it, cuz he always told us that's what the tie meant. And, I have always looked for a can of Shinola. Ah, Merv, I love you and I take great joy in having you as my friend. God bless and keep you until we meet again.

Many great memories of fun times . . . Merv's sense of humor and unending puns--fun at Lake "Pal," the Blues Brothers improv, dressing up as Kermit the Frog for Tiffany's birthday, and more. Mick, Madison and Nathaniel are outstanding examples for all of us--our love and prayers are with you. Love you, Aunt Jill and Uncle Royce
