William Sutton Obituary

William Marshall "Bill" Sutton, Sr., age 87, of Claybrooke Lane, Springfield, KY, passed away peacefully at 3:42 a.m., Saturday, December 18, 2021, at his home surrounded by his daughters.
A native of Washington County, he was born on June 20, 1934, to the late William T. and Katherine Black Sutton.
He was a member of the Springfield Baptist Church, a member of the Springfield Masonic Lodge # 50 F & AM, a 1952 graduate of Springfield High School, a graduate of Georgetown College and received his master's degree from the University of Louisville. Bill was a dairyman and a farmer.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Patricia Lou "Pat" Upton Sutton on August 9, 2017.
Survivors include three daughters, E. Kay Sutton of Campbellsville, Dr. Melinda Ann Barber (Rick) of Campbellsville and Charlotte Ashlock (Vernon, Jr.) of Springfield; a son, William M. "Billy" Sutton, Jr. of Shepherdsville and three grandsons, Dylan Barber, Thomas Barber and Jeffrey Tyler Ashlock.
In keeping with Bill's wishes cremation was chosen and a memorial service will be held in the springtime.
His cremains will be buried on Cemetery Hill on the family lot.
Memorial contributions may be made to, Hosparus of Green River.
Carey & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
