Barbara Albritton Obituary

Barbara (Shackelford) Albritton Farmville - Farmville...............Barbara Albritton, age 59, passed away Monday, August 11, 2025 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. She was born in Pitt County to the late Marvin "Shorty" Shackelford and the late Peggy Williams Harrell.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Mike Albritton of Hookerton; step-daughter, Christie Albritton; step-son, Chris Albritton; sisters, Donna Keel and Husband Bobby and Janet Clontz and husband, Stacy, all of Farmville; brother, Gerald Shackelford of Hookerton; sisters-in-law, Alice Shackelford, and Sherri Dail Jolly; mother-in-law, Margo Albritton and three step-grandchildren.

Barbara was a hard worker, giving one hundred percent to any job she held. She was a devoted and dependable employee until her illness no longer allowed it. She made friends wherever she went and loved being around people, especially family. Barbara held a special fondness for her grandchildren and great nieces and nephews. Barbara will be greatly missed by all.

Burial will take place on Friday, August 15 at 4:00 PM at Hookerton United Methodist Church with visitation to follow.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hope Lodge of Greenville.

Arrangements are by Farmville Funeral Home.
