Edward Miller Obituary
MUNCIE - Edward Lewis Miller, 82, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 5, 2016.
A current resident of North Port, FL, he was born in Gaston IN, and graduated from Harrison Township High School in 1952 and Ball State University in 1956. He was veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from the accounting department of GM-Chevrolet Muncie.
He was loved and will be forever missed by his loving wife and best friend of sixty years, Marilyn (Polhemus) Miller; one brother, James Miller, and four children, Debra Hollowell (David), Jayne Lee (David), Stephen Miller (Rochelle), and Brian Miller (Marianne Banford); grandchildren, Lindsey Helms (Bryan Preston), Tim Hollowell, Amy Hollowell, Alicia Miller, Morgan Miller, Ashley Wright (Donnie), and Jordan Miller; great-grandchildren, Braden Hawkins, Erin Wright, Eli Wright, Landon Miller, Eugene Preston-Helms, and Patience Preston-Helms; nieces, Mary Broyles, Natalie Marsh, and Lois Williams. Nephew Kevin Miller; brother-in-law, Donald Williams.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Darrell and Bertha (Scott) Miller, and sister, Joyce Williams.
He will be remembered as a loving, joyful, selfless father, best grandfather, brother and uncle. He enjoyed singing in the church choir. He and his loving wife and best friend Marilyn would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on September 9, 2016.
He is a member of Center Chapel United Methodist Church and currently attended North Port Community United Church of Christ.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Garden View Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Calling hours are 5-7 p.m. Tuesday evening, September 13, 2016 at the funeral home.
