Jack Craig Obituary
Muncie - Jack E. Craig, Sr., also known as "Happy Jack" to family and friends, 94, passed away Sunday evening, February 12, 2017, at Signature Health Care.
He was born on March 14, 1922 in Muncie the son of William E. and Leota (Vanskyke) Craig, graduated from Burris High School, served in the South Pacific with the US Navy during WWII, and married Janet E. Tuhey on June 3, 1947 in Muncie.
Mr. Craig was chief tool inspector at City machine Tool & Die for over forty years.
He enjoyed playing golf with family and friends, watching and attending his children's and grandchildren's athletic events, spending time at the family lake house, and was an avid reader.
Surviving are two sons, Jeff Craig (wife, Jean), Muncie and Jerry Craig (wife, Missy), Rushville; daughter, Joyce Olsen (husband, Vic), Morehead City, NC; a daughter-in-law, Val Craig, Muncie; four grandchildren, Jennifer O'Korn (husband, Dan), Raleigh, NC, Bret Craft, Phoenix, AZ, Teresa Ashcraft (husband, David), Muncie, and Cameron Craig, Rushville; four step-grandchildren, Cary Jones, Craig Jones, Eric Morgan (wife, Karen), and Steve Conner; six great-grandchildren, Arianna Morgan, Erik Morgan, Christian Morgan, Scottie O'Korn, Jackson O'Korn, and Carter Craft; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of sixty-eight years, Janet E. Craig, last year; and a son, Jack E. Craig, Jr.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date for both Jack and Janet Craig.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
