Kimberly Price Obituary

Kimberly Ann (Aul) Price, 58

YORKTOWN - Kimberly Ann (Aul) Price, 58, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 5, 2016. She passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family.

Kim was born on October 6, 1957 in Muncie, Indiana, the first born to the late John and Carleeta (Cart) Aul. She was valedictorian and president of her Yorktown class, active in sports and several other activities. She followed in her grandmother's footsteps and was a member of Eastern Star and served as Worthy Matron.

Kim owned, managed and instructed AulStar Dance Academy for eighteen years teaching dance and tumbling. Because of the love of her children and caring for others' children, she owned and operated KidZone Day Care for twenty-three years, until she was no longer able to work.

Survivors include her loving husband, Mike Price; her beautiful children, Kolt and Karlee Riggin; her step-children, Jordan Price (wife, Rachael), Jonathan Price (wife, Brandee) and her precious grandchildren, Hunter, Brantlee, Wyatt and Lennox; her siblings, Mark Aul (wife, Dawn), Lisa Aul and Cathy (Aul) Dixon (husband, Frank); her step-mother, Pat Aul; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by her very special friend, Karen Grimes and the girls of '76.

Kim was preceded in death by her mother, Carleeta Aul; her father, John Aul; grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.

There will be a celebration of life at the Muncie Elks Tuesday, August 9, 2016 from 6:00-10:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested a memorial contribution be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital., 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Online condolences may be directed to the family at www.meeksmortuary.com.

A family friend said it best, "It was as a Mom to Kolt and Karlee that I knew Kim best. I have to say, both kids are a beautiful reflection of Kim's spirit- as is grandson Brantlee Kole. Kim was an exceptional Mom, always steadfast in her loving presence, leading by her strong example. She loved the kids in her life, her own and those at her childcare center. Kim had a very special knack of nurturing little lives with patience and encouragement and understanding that what kids need most is unconditional love.

So often I hear heaven has gained an angel. Kim's legacy is that she lived her life with us here as an angel toward others, and she will be greatly missed by those whose lives she has touched."

Mrs. Kim as she was known by her daycare kids, touched so many lives in a positive way. Her huge amount of patients and love combined with the knack with kids was nothing short of amazing. If we could love just a quarter of how Kim loved the world would be so much better for it. Great mentor for all! She made the world better! What we all should inspire to do. Great woman, great person- Great inspiration- she will be missed, but never forgotten! SHE made a difference - RIP!

I loved Kim the first time I met her and I never stopped loving her. She was everything a Mother should be, Kolt and Karlee are the shining example of a Mother's work well done. She was a beautiful spirit and her beautiful smile lit up any room she entered. Heaven definitely gained a special Angel.
