Larry E. Ford, 74

GAINESVILLE, FL - Larry E. Ford, 74, went to be with his Lord and Savior unexpectedly Tuesday morning, April 19, 2016 in Gainesville, FL.

He was born on December 28, 1941 in Muncie the son of Robert and Lavina (Roach) Ford, graduated from Daleville High School in 1960, and served in US Air Force.

He was a mechanic and enjoyed working on cars, listening to gospel music and bluegrass music, and lived the cowboy life with his horse.

Surviving are his special friend, Rosa Moore; two sons, Adam Carson, Yorktown and Paul Carson, Gainesville, FL; a granddaughter, Jordan Carson, Yorktown; his brother, Mike Ford, Muncie; and two nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation was held.

The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street chapel is in charge of local arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to any local VA Facility.
