Marilyn Morrison Obituary
Riverview, FL - Morrison, Marilyn F., 90, peacefully passed away Thursday, May 10, 2018, in Riverview, FL at home with her youngest daughter Mary by her side. She was born, raised and married in St. Johnsbury, VT to parents, Wilbur & "Edith" Fitch. She raised her family in Indiana, primarily Muncie, and then retired in Memphis and, lastly, Riverview, FL. She launched and promoted Girl Scouts in Cowan School and began with a single troop, Troop 49. She loved music and was an amazing choir director for the Oakville 1st Brethren Church, of which she was a member. She loved birdwatching, flower gardens, many crafts, and traveling and exploring many of our State and National Parks. She is survived by her daughters, Jane (John) Dragoo and Patricia (Barry) Parkison; by son, Robert (Kathy) Morrison, by daughter, Mary (James) McCullagh, 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Pauline James, and her husband of 66 years, Robert E. Morrison. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 25, 2018, at Southern Funeral Care, 10510 Riverview Dr., Riverview, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to services. Please sign guestbook at SouthernFuneralCare.com.

So sorry that I will not be able to attend the service for Marilyn. I will miss her at Bunco where we shared many laughs. A sweet woman with a great sense of humor. Enjoyed talking to her on our trips around the park in our golf carts, many memories. Thank you Lord for Them. Prayers for her family Love Carol Bahl

I was deeply saddened when I read of Marilyn's passing on line in the Muncie Star press. I only have the fondest of memories of Marilyn with that quick smile and happy demeanor. She truly was a warm and welcoming individual who stood for everything that was good. I truly appreciated the support she gave me as a first year teacher and coach. She became more than just a parent of one of my students, but a friend. My sincerest sympathy to Mary and the rest of her children who have lost a real matriarch. I know that she has left you with many cherished memories that you will hold dear in your heart. Your call is to now continue the legacy which she showed you.
