Michael Hardwick Obituary

Michael E. Hardwick, 68

MUNCIE - Michael E. Hardwick, 68, passed away Monday, March 21, 2016 at I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Muncie to William and Pauline (Longnecker) Hardwick July 5, 1947.

Mike proudly served his country in the United States Marines.

He retired from Borg-Warner Automotive and also worked at the Muncie Auto Auction.

Mike was a member of the Muncie American Legion, American Bowling Association, and Bass Masters of America. He was an avid bowler and fisherman.

Mike is survived by his loving wife whom he married December 10, 2006, Margaret (Conway) Hardwick; daughters, Laurie Hardwick and Tammy (Ryan) Kreider; brother, David (Kathy) Hardwick; sister, Jill Messer; grandchildren, Carrie (Gary) Baker, Steven Batt, and Catie Reel; great-grandchildren, Ashley and Hailey Baker; several nieces and nephews.

Services are 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2016 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304 with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Entombment will take place at Elm Ridge Memorial Park.

Military rites will be conducted following the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mike's honor may be sent to the American Diabetes Association, 8604 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250 or American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
