Charlie was a kind mentor, leader of our hunt club, friend and always had a smile for those he saw coming. Our younger hunt club members became solid, great men, due in part to his sage advice and wisdom. I have missed him, particularly when we meet for a Saturday hunt, for this past year. It is up to us, to remember "what Charlie would do or say, when faced with a dilemma or problem". His wife Harriet, is the matriarch of the family and I know her loving husband of 62 years, is looking down and waiting until they are reunited. Thank you, Charlie, for your advice, laughter and most of all, your friendship. They don't make them like him anymore.
