Chris Edmonds Obituary

Chris Edmonds
March 6, 1994 - January 27, 2021
Goose Creek, South Carolina - Christopher Woods Edmonds, age 26, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at his home in Goose Creek, South Carolina, after a long fought battle with addiction. We are at peace knowing that He is soaring with the Angels, bringing smiles to their hearts and seeing things we can't imagine.
Chris was a bright young man who kept family and friends laughing in all situations. He loved music, animals, art and excelled at Judo in his middle teens. Chris would always be ready for an impromptu exploration whether it was a trip to the mountains, heading to the beach, kayaking down the river and many other adventures.
He was also known for his work ethic and you could count on him to do the job right. Chris was self-taught in many subjects and was a walking encyclopedia in many areas including high end automatic watches.
We are glad to say that Chris was surrounded by many great friends in Charleston the latter years of his life and especially are forever grateful to his roommates at the Oxford House in Goose Creek who brought that spark back into his life.
Chris is survived by his mother, Wanda McCarthy, brother, David, father Ron (Debbie), grandparents, Ray and Thomasene Edmonds, his Uncle Thomas and Aunt Letha, cousins Ben (Rebecca) and Lauren (Billy).
Chris's "Celebration of Life" ceremony will be at Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church at 1205 Old Cherokee Rd., Lexington, South Carolina on Friday, February 19 at 2:00pm.
Matthew 11:28-30-"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in Chris's name to Coastal Recovery Center, Myrtle Beach, www.coastalrecoverycenter.com or The Courage Center, Lexington, www.couragecentersc.org

Chris sounds like an amazing guy and knowing his Uncle Tom and Aunt Letha plus his grandparents at Mt Horeb, we know he was loved and will be missed. Thank you for sharing his personality and life plus the addiction that cut it short. Condolences and prayers for all.
